Join us for a full-day workshop devoted to the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. The morning begins at The Museum of Modern Art with an interactive tour of the exhibition Frank Lloyd Wright at 150: Unpacking the Archive, featuring a range of mediums, from architectural drawings and models to photographs and scrapbooks. We will also spend time in the People's Studio: Design, Experiment, Build, where we will have the opportunity to explore the design process through hands-on activities. In the afternoon we'll head to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum for an in-depth look at one of Wright’s most iconic buildings. This workshop considers Wright’s legacy and his relevance for students today.
This workshop is designed for K–12 teachers and/or administrators, librarians, and curriculum specialists. Teachers working in alternative settings are welcome. Group size is limited to 20 participants.
This workshop is $50 per person and includes instruction, resources, a Teacher Pass for unlimited admission to MoMA, and a 10% discount on educational materials at the MoMA Stores. Registration is required. Lunch is on your own.
MoMA offers a wide variety of professional development opportunities for elementary- and secondary-school teachers.
