Ewan Gibbs has  been selected as The Armory Show’s 2009 commissioned  artist. <br> <br>
 
The  Armory Show introduced its annual commission in 2002 with artist Karen  Kilimnik. In 2006, The Armory Show began  publishing an annual series of editions by its commissioned artists to  benefit The Pat Hearn and Colin de Land Cancer  Foundation and The Museum of Modern Art.

The Armory Show, for a decade the leading contemporary art fair in the United States, is introducing The Armory Show - Modern, a section dedicated to international dealers specializing in historically significant modern and contemporary art. Over two hundred of the world's leading galleries will come together to present the best art of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The opening preview and party for The Armory Show 2009 helps sustain MoMA's world-renowned exhibition programming.
