About the Department of Publications
The Museum of Modern Art's publications program has been an integral part of the Museum's mission since its founding in 1929. The Department of Publications has published over 1,250 titles in twenty languages to date, including exhibition catalogues that provide a lasting record of MoMA's diverse exhibition program; scholarly texts on key works and artists in MoMA's unrivaled collection; guides to MoMA's history, buildings, and collections; and anthologies of important art-historical texts from around the world. MoMA publications exemplify the scholarship of the Museum's staff and associates, and serve as a valuable resource to scholars, students, and art lovers alike.
